The Old College is located on the seafront in Aberystwyth and is easily found as it is the imposing building situated near the Pier. The main entrance is found on Stryd-y-Brenin (King Street) and not on the seafront itself. Signs will direct you to the correct room when you arrive at the main entrance. Please refer to the map below for further information; the main entrance is indicated by the pointed tip of the red diamond.
Presentation computers will be available in the room itself. Should anybody require use of their own laptop, it can also be connected.
Wireless networking will be available throughout.
Founded in 1872, Aberystwyth University is situated in a truly outstanding location on the Mid Wales coast overlooking Cardigan Bay. The conference will take place in the Old College, a majestic building overlooking the seafront and only a two minute walk from the main centre of town. Further details about the town itself can be found on the Wikipedia page.
Aberystwyth has many hotels and guest houses on the seafront and throughout the town. We recommend looking at Aberystwyth.org.uk for details of what is available. All guesthouses and hotels mentioned are in town and within easy walking distance of the Workshop venue. Guesthouse accommodation will generally be cheaper; accommodation with an address of "Marine Terrace" or "South Marine Terrace" is on the seafront.
Directions to the University with downloadable maps of the town and campus can be found here.
